Spring Start-up
When the sun starts shining after a long, cold winter, you will need to get your irrigation system up and running. With our Spring Start-Up, one of our friendly, certified irrigation technicians will visit your property and perform a thorough 20-Point irrigation inspection, ensuring your yard will be fully covered while keeping water off hardscapes like sidewalks and driveways.
If you are looking for water saving devices to drive down your water costs, our technicians are fully stocked to perform sprinkler conversions and upgrades, so you can begin saving water and money right away.
Spring Start-Up procedures consist of four phases:
- Safely reintroducing water to each zone
- Checking winter damage, making repairs as needed, cleaning or replacing nozzles
- Examining the entire system to see that it’s still functioning properly and providing even coverage
- Resetting controls
Our technicians also document any suggested repairs, irregularities or deficiencies and make suggestions to help save money and grow healthier plants and turf.

Mid-Season Tune-Up
A Mid-Season Tune-up is a great way to adjust your irrigation system for changes in weather conditions (and CRD restrictions) and ensure things are running at peak efficiency. Any damage to your system after our Spring Start-Up can cause significant water waste and affect improperly irrigated lawns and plants.

Fall Winterization
Even in beautiful Victoria, cold weather can freeze water in irrigation pipes. As it freezes, it expands, and can cause pipes, sprinklers and other parts of the system to crack. Fall is the time to take the necessary precautions and winterize irrigation systems.
- Automatic controller – this should be shut off and insulated; saving you on electrical bills
- Rotors and sprinkler heads installed above ground need to be drained
- Backflow prevention device should be drained completely and insulated
Using a small air compressor to blow out your sprinkler system may seem like a good idea, but these small units just can’t generate the volume of air needed to get the job done. Having your system professionally winterized will cut down on future repair costs; a small price to pay for piece of mind.

Certified Backflow Testing
The Capital Regional District (CRD) requires every residential irrigation system to have a double check valve and certified backflow test every three years. One of our certified backflow testers will come to your property, complete the test, alert you of any issues, and complete and send the paper work to the CRD.
